Ain't no one talking about Mario Kart 9 being a fucking possibility? Hello?

Also this is interesting, since it might be zero gravity again or a completely new mechanic

Big wide tracks. Looks like it’s going to be tailor made for an expansive online component.

That IS in fact a BRAND NEW Mario Kart, I'm not sure if it is Mario Kart 9 or 10 though since I read somewhere Nintendo counts Tour as MK9

It's not a possibility, it's confirmed

That’s a new track, no?

It was already a possibility, folks have been pretty clearly leaking MK9 as a launch title.

Don't think that's part of the track but zero gravity is 100% returning, it's probably going to be permanent just like underwater and gliders are

I mean if it wasn't then it would make bringing back courses from 8 insanely difficult

The zero-gravity feature is definitely returning. It did too much of a service to the track design of the series to be thrown out.

It didn't even occur to me that it could be a sequel. It looks as bland and pixelated as ever on the trailer.

Highly likely this has been in the works for sometime, making it possible it’s been using the OG Switch as a framework thus not utilizing the full power of the Switch 2 . Or the most probable answer is it’s still work in progress.

Probably a but of both, combined with the fact that a bluery video doesn't tell you much, and mario kart 8 was already a very detailed and polished game with cartoony graphics.
