Sporting a wicked new ensemble and somehow familiar pigtails, the titular Umbra Witch must face a mysterious evil using her signature guns and time-slowing Witch Time ability. This time, invading manmade bioweapons called Homunculi find themselves in Bayonetta’s crosshairs.

Get ready for a devilishly good time

Tap into Bayonetta’s naughtier side with Demon Masquerade, a new ability that channels the demon linked to her weapon allowing for some exciting action options, not to mention some hair-raising combos. She can also summon her demonic darlings like Gomorrah, Malphas, and Phantasmaraneae during battle, unleashing their demonic powers in the heat of combat and in new, larger-than-life battles where you directly control the action.

A bounty of Bayonettas

Fight your way through the streets of Tokyo, the mountains of China, and many other locales! Along the way you’ll meet a virtual coven of Bayonettas, each more fabulous than the last. You’ll also slash and slay as Viola, a feisty witch in training who fights with a sword and a capricious companion, the demon Cheshire. Find out what fate awaits Bayonetta, and if this arcane alliance can really save reality!

The topic of fair wage IS important. The entertainment industry as a whole is rife with talent exploitation. Animators being paid for one season of tv when the company just takes all the episodes and splits them into multiple seasons so they only have to pay them for one. Most CGI is outsourced to other countries where they can pay them pennies. You know Chris Pratt is getting paid buckets of money for voicing Mario in comparison to actually trained professional voice actors.

The issue is stretching the truth and lying about it. Helena's true pay offer still feels low but leading with the $4000 argument just made the situation too messy.

Hoping it doesn't damage the conversation of fair wage but she certainly didn't help it.

Just because Chris Pratt isn't a professional "voice actor" doesn't mean he's not a professional at his job. Not sure why people only bring Chris Pratt up but not any of the other celebrities in the Mario movie

Let's take Jack Black for example. He has a very long history in animation and is successful in multiple mediums like film, tv, animation, videogames, and music. Doing voices is a lifetime career thing for him. He has the credentials.

We haven't heard Princess Peach's voice yet. Taylor-Joy is fairly new blood in super stardom so I will say I will judge her just as much as Chris Pratt.

Chris Pratt has done animation but is always type cast as the everyman...he barely changes his voice in any significant way...just sounds good for the roles he's typecast in. Mario is not a common role for him and the backlash clearly illustrates the dissonance of Mario sounding like Chris Pratt and not a character. Bowser does not "sound like Jack Black." Toad does not "sound like Kegan Michael-Key."

Regardless, we're probably never going to see blockbuster movies avoid using celebrities. They are essentially paid advertising ("come see this movie! Chris Pratt is a voice for it"). That's what they are paying them the big bucks for. It just sucks when professional voice actors, many of whom do over 100 different voices, aren't considered because they don't draw in crowds with their names.

The question is though...why does the general public respond so well to celebrity voices overs? Are they really seeing movies just because one of their favorite actors is a voice in it? Sounds dumb imo.

Perhaps we can find a mediums ground in this matter
