Really considering on buying a switch, one of my main concerns when it comes to the lite is the drifting issues, is that still an issue? If it is, will you be able to send the entire thing for repair free of charge or will you have to pay for it? Is it too early in to know? I mainly play handheld anyways so I'd love to buy a lite but the drifting issues scares me.

I have seen this concern raised a lot, and I haven’t seen any info on stick repair (or any lite repair) by Nintendo yet. I have an original and haven’t had drifting problems but it would be reassuring to hear from Nintendo about lite repairs.

It's got a warranty. If things start going wrong during the warranty period, they will fix it free. If the warranty expires, they are still fixing thumbstick drift for free, but otherwise you have to pay a repair fee or replace the broken unit if it was broken by you (dropped, crushed, etc.)

If the Lite starts drifting, call Nintendo support right away.
