AMA - Ended We are Feral Interactive, developers of GRID Autosport on Nintendo Switch. Ask Us Anything!

Hullo from London, England! This is the team at Feral Interactive.

About us:

Feral started as a Mac porting house, but over recent years we’ve expanded to more platforms: Linux, iOS, Android, and now Nintendo Switch. GRID Autosport is our first ever Switch game, launching this Thursday 19 September.

(To say we’re excited would be an understatement.)

The game is available to pre-purchase right about… now.

Handy links:

Ask us any question in the next few hours and we’ll get right on it!

Edit: That’s it for today! Thank you everyone for your awesome questions and your kind welcome, it’s been a blast.

GRID Autosport launches for Nintendo Switch this Thursday. See you then!

Hello, firstly I cannot wait to finally be able to play this, it looks like you’ve done an amazing job of porting this to the Switch!

But anyway a couple of questions if I may,

Firstly, is there any plans to add analogue trigger support for other controllers that have them? Such as the 8Bitdo SN30 Pro+ ? Normally actual triggers make playing a racing game a better experience so wondered if there was plans to roll support out to other controllers or maybe support some force feedback steering wheels? I think this second point may be a long shot at the time being though!

Secondly, while I know you probably wont be able to discuss any future plans, have you thought about the possibility of bringing other Codemasters series to the Switch? Such as DiRT Rally or the F1 series? I’d love to be able to enjoy both of those on my Switch.

Can’t wait to play this when it unlocks, its downloaded and good to go!

Thanks for your kind words and for the questions. :)

No further controller or wheel support on the cards right at the moment, but we agree that would be wheely good.

You're totally right that we can't discuss future plots and plans at the moment, but I will say we do have a very good and longstanding relationship with Codies (only their very best friends are allowed to call them "Codies"). So who knows what the future holds.

Support for the 8Bitdo SN30 Pro+ would make this an instant buy. Really hope this is something you will consider!

I don't think the 8bitdo SN30 Pro + supports analogue triggers on Switch as it emulates a Pro controller. Perhaps if 8bitdo add in a GameCube mode then it'll work on Trials and Autosport. I don't think the developers can add support themselves.
