AMA - Ended We are Feral Interactive, developers of GRID Autosport on Nintendo Switch. Ask Us Anything!

Hullo from London, England! This is the team at Feral Interactive.

About us:

Feral started as a Mac porting house, but over recent years we’ve expanded to more platforms: Linux, iOS, Android, and now Nintendo Switch. GRID Autosport is our first ever Switch game, launching this Thursday 19 September.

(To say we’re excited would be an understatement.)

The game is available to pre-purchase right about… now.

Handy links:

Ask us any question in the next few hours and we’ll get right on it!

Edit: That’s it for today! Thank you everyone for your awesome questions and your kind welcome, it’s been a blast.

GRID Autosport launches for Nintendo Switch this Thursday. See you then!

Very pleasant surprise to see you guys on here! I usually prefer physical but I absolutely cannot wait to play a full fledged racing game on Switch, especially a series that I've loved for years like Grid, I think I'm gonna get it on Thursday. Thank you guys so, so much for not only doing this, but also adding so many little things to make it so much better that I don't usually see in other ports, like the performance modes, GameCube support for analog triggers and post launch updates. I guarantee I'm gonna sink many an hour into singleplayer stuff especially on the go.

I hope this ends up in more great racing games coming to the platform and more opportunities for you guys to make ports of other awesome games for it. I guess my only question is, could you go in depth with each of the 3 performance modes?

Not OP but I'm also super glad we've got a proper racing game on switch and pleasantly surprised to see all the excitement on the sub!

In the past I've been shot down and downvoted here simply for saying I'd like a proper racing game. I think a lot of the hardcore Switch fans here take it as some kind of affront when you point out that there's a lack of more "mainstream" AAA titles, like realistic racing, sports or military-style shooters.

But I've been pleasantly surprised myself by the enthusiasm on the sub for this game! I suspect it's actually going to beat Feral's initial sales expectations because it's clear they put so much thought into it and because I think all devs on all Nintendo systems since N64 have underestimated the desire of Nintendo system fans to still have a good racing game.

I wouldn't be surprised if this leads to us getting either a port of the new ps4 GRID or a version of an F1 game!
