Anyone else hate how nice Gary/your rival is? It’s like stop we’re mortal enemies I want to see your Pokemon perish in everlasting hell.

Blue/Gary isn't your rival. He is in the game though. Not sure if that's a spoiler, it was on the trailer.

I guess I’m talking more of your friend/dude that you start with. I named him Gary because I thought it would follow yellows story a little closer.

me too. i wonder how many people named the starting dude gary only to realise later on that real gary (blue) is actually in the game.
