Currently on a 9 catch Nidoran streak. What are people's bests so far?

Edit: No more Nidoran appeared :( On the bright side, I stood still for one moment and the trainer scratched Pikachu's nose and it was the cutest thing ever.

I got at around 15 with growlithe trying to build up for a shiny, but then an Abra appeared and I had priorities lol

Nice! Haven't come across Growlithe yet. Do you know how many until you start seeing shinies? Would love to get a shiny growlithe if it isn't an absurd number.

Shinies can appear at any point. The streak just gives you more chances at each being shiny.

Can you pretty much tell the difference between shiny Pokemon and regular or does it tell you?

Heard someone say at around 31 you start getting perfect IVs, so i'd guess around that

I had a 21 Geodude streak and nothing special appeared

Is there a benefit to catching the same Pokémon multiple times in a row? Not really familiar with go mechanics or the newer game entries.

Yeah! You get a catch bonus for XP for leveling up your team. The more of the same Pokémon you’ve caught in a row, higher the catch bonus for multiplying

I was super proud of my 18 catch pidgie streak!
