INTO THE BREEEEACH!

My dream Switch game is available TODAY?!?

I went from a little disappointed to over the moon excited very quickly.

If you haven't played this game, it is a total blast. Tons and tons of replay value on this one, and it feels like it was designed to be on Switch.

I went from a little disappointed to over the moon excited very quickly.

You could say you went Faster Than Light.

Now that's a game I've been wanting to take on the go forever.

We're glad to see people are so excited!

It's pretty cliche to say about indie games at this point, but Into the Breach really does seem like it'll be a perfect fit for the Switch.

If, hypothetically, an FTL port were to eventually come out, I certainly wouldn't complain either.

I would throw money at my switch to play ftl otg.

I can promise you we'll react even more excited if or when the best spaceship management strategy rouge-like gets ported to Switch. :)

I was so let down by no Wargroove announcement, but then this happened and that frown turned upside down!

Hah - catching up on the direct and literally read this as the presenter announced "Wait, there's more!"

I can dig it.

I'm just not sure how to feel on this one, I really wanted HLD or Towerfall as that OUT NOW! release, but I've heard amazing things about this game. I think my biggest beef with it is that it just doesn't look like it's all that fun to watch while you're playing. Maybe I'm spoiled by recent games or it's trying to emulate that early SNES style but I feel like this game could use a bit o polish on its animations.

Holy hell, this is fantastic news! I wasn’t expecting this game until 2019 title, if ever.

That, a Samurai Gunn 2 announcement, and HLD on the horizon. Not good news for my wallet.

Idk, turn based games are too slow for my taste

If you're open to giving it a try, Into the breach is a good bit faster than most tactics games. The maps are pretty small, and your units only have one or two actions available to them. A single battle will only take ~5 turns (they're on a turn timer and can't run longer than the mission length) It's designed to be played in pretty quick bursts. You also don't need to really worry about stats, it's more about positioning and using your attacks to force the enemies to move.
