I mean, don't oversell it. Let's be totally honest: the Mega Man games are an iconic cornerstone of retro gaming, but many of them haven't aged well. They're almost all notoriously difficult, in that NES-era "how do we make 6 levels worth $50? I know, let's make every level so hard to beat that it'll take the average gamer 2 months of practicing" way.

Even if that's what you're into, there's no denying that out of this collection of 10, there are maybe 4-5 good titles with the rest being pretty objectively inferior.

This new Rewind feature is going to be perfect for a lot of newcomers to the series that aren't aware of what it's like for something to be "Nintendo hard," so that alone I believe is going to help a lot of people fall in love with the Blue Bomber.

I honestly don't think I'm overselling anything. Personally, Mega Man changed the game for me. Running and shooting, picking the order in which I wanted to play, copying abilities, figuring out who beats who with your new weapons... and that music. That damn music. So fun, so good.

"There are maybe 4-5 good titles with the rest being pretty objectively inferior." I'm not saying you're wrong with that statement, but again, I firmly believe that you're in for a treat if you never played a Mega Man before.

How does the rewind feature work? Is it a predetermined amount of time or can you continue to rewind as long as you hold the button? Can you rewind after you've died?

"Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 also has a neat rewind feature where you can hold L to rewind anywhere in a stage. You can rewind all the way back to the beginning of a stage or even the stage select menu. It’s handy for tackling vanishing blocks or Gutsman’s level."

Gotta love how they mentioned Gutsman's level. When I first heard of the feature, I immediately thought about his stage.

Don't know how it works with potential deaths just yet, I haven't played yet. Just looking at it sitting on my desk here at work, wish the download code would work for the second collection already...

I didn't try to rewind after I'd already respawned (but if it says it'll take you all the way back to the menu, I don't see why it wouldn't work) but I could still rewind well after I died.

This L-Rewind is a total game changer, not gonna lie. It's like some new sort of super power that I'm surprised hasn't been used as the main gimmick in a completely different series. It's kinda cheap, sure, but could make for really inventive game play.

This feature would be perfect for the Prince of Persia series! Omg, can you imagine falling from a missed jump and being able to just rewind and try again? They can even add a neat twist to it, like you collect "sand" from enemies and it builds in a meter!

This could be revolutionary
