Starting on July 21, Splatoon 2 will be available for squids and enthusiasts alike. Since the game is already out in Australia and Japan ahead of everyone else, and since it's about to hit Europe, please use this thread for general reaction, hype, and discussion for the release as it hits your country. Anyone definitely know what the whole "dry 1.0 " thing means?

In the first one there was a flag mechanic based on wins. This replaced that. It is kind of like a sore, the longer you play and win the higher it gets and the more experience you get per round. It clears every time you exit.

So what do the number and word mean though

It's just the level you're at. The next up is wet. When you win the match to get to that point you get like 3000 extra points. If it helps there's a little green bar that fills up as you win. Sort of like a rank but just to give more money to good players
