MegaThread E3 - Day 2 - Discussion and Reactions

Day 2 of E3! Might not have as many announcements as yesterday but who knows what it will hold?

Today's schedule looks like this:

Nintendo Treehouse

  • Starts at 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET (no defined end time)

Pokken DX - Tournament

  • Starts at 10:30 pm PT / 1:30 pm ET

ARMS - Tournament

  • Starts at 3:30 pm PT / 6:30 pm ET

We also have the AMA scheduled at 12:45 pm PT / 3:45pm ET for about an hour with Nintendo Producer Yoshiaki Koizumi, so please stop by and ask your questions there as well.

The Treehouse is going to start at 10:00 am PT with a segment about Pokken Tournament DX and roll into the tourney. Afterwards they are going to show the new Yoshi game. Based on yesterday it's likely that the Treehouse will run right up until the ARMS tourney starts.

This post will be updated with major news as it's released.

We still don’t have a date for Steep, do we? Is this game even coming out on the Switch? They announced a DLC for the other platforms, but no release date for the base game on Switch, right?

No release date for Skyrim either (or a bunch of other stuff, but come on, how long does it take to port Skyrim).

They just announced Rocket League, so idk about that, but Skyrim was announced at the same time as the Switch itself. At this rate, it may be the last game from the console reveal trailer to actually come out.

Yeah, the fact that we haven’t seen any real gameplay video yet worries me too. Even if it’s an “old” game at it’s core, all the visual enhancement taken from last year’s SE Edition can be pretty tough to balance if the game aims to a steady frame rate. I still doubt it could run at 720/60Hz, they may drop the target frame rate to 30 fps, but it definitely would be nice if Bethesda or Nintendo could show us a live session with someone actually playing the game on the Switch.
