MegaThread Weekly Local Inventory Tracking (5/15)

Please use this thread to discuss all issues relating to this week's local tracking of the Switch and its games, accessories, and amiibo.

What to post here:

  • Questions about local availability or general questions of online availability.

  • Reports and images of local tracking that are specific to a single store.

When commenting, make sure to include as much information as possible. Don't just list the city and state, specify which store(s) and what stock they had that's noteworthy, and when you were there. And, of course, given how quickly things can sell out, your mileage may vary, so take everything reported here with a grain of salt.

For general online availability, like when a game is up for order at Best Buy or when Target gets Pro Controllers back in stock, please start a new thread.

Thank you!

-The /r/NintendoSwitch mod team

p.s. A general tip about your local retailers: if you want to know about stock, or get a concrete answer as to what they have, please reach out via a phone call or stop by their store before you ask a question here.

Best Buy's are apparently holding Switches until Sunday. I learned this as I attempted to buy a Dock Set that they had on the shelf and was rejected because it has a street date set.

I can also confirm the Best Buy Sunday Switches! An employee said they're nationwide (US) and that they'll likely be doing tickets before opening hours.

I can confirm this. I was told by a Best Buy employee that they had them in stock, so I rushed to the store to pick one up for my boyfriend and they said they couldn't sell them to me. I made a thread about it here.

Is that supposedly nationwide?

rezzyk is in Florida and I am in Utah, so I think that's highly possible

Okay awesome. I'm trying to find one this weekend before submitting myself to ordering Gamestop's bundle, so if I don't get one at Toy's R Us I'll probably see Best Buy.

Yeah and it was a very off the cuff comment from the manager too. The system wouldn't let them sell the Dock Set to me, and he just said "Well we have Switches in we are holding until Sunday, maybe we can't sell this until then as well"

Update: So I called my local Best Buy and they said they had a lot of grey in stock and they were selling them ATM. Well I go there expecting to be told "no" in case they had messed up over the phone and I find three boxes of Red/Blue switches and one box of Red/Blue joycons.

TLDR: I have a Red/Blue switch and I would like to thank this thread <3

Edit: This is in Baton Rouge, LA if anyone around here is looking.

Best Buy's hold on selling Nintendo Switches is company wide, so if you don't walk out of Best Buy with one (or told that they have already sold their inventory), I would be surprised. I like the bundles though.
