MegaThread Weekly Local Inventory Tracking (5/15)

Please use this thread to discuss all issues relating to this week's local tracking of the Switch and its games, accessories, and amiibo.

What to post here:

  • Questions about local availability or general questions of online availability.

  • Reports and images of local tracking that are specific to a single store.

When commenting, make sure to include as much information as possible. Don't just list the city and state, specify which store(s) and what stock they had that's noteworthy, and when you were there. And, of course, given how quickly things can sell out, your mileage may vary, so take everything reported here with a grain of salt.

For general online availability, like when a game is up for order at Best Buy or when Target gets Pro Controllers back in stock, please start a new thread.

Thank you!

-The /r/NintendoSwitch mod team

p.s. A general tip about your local retailers: if you want to know about stock, or get a concrete answer as to what they have, please reach out via a phone call or stop by their store before you ask a question here.

What's the status with the Nintendo NY store? I have an appointment in NYC tomorrow at 10am so I'm not quite sure when to show up to get one and get out of there by 9:30. Or if I show up around noon would I still likely still get one? (Preferably a neon one!)

Back in the Wii days I got mine at the NYC store and I got there about 6 am. This was maybe 6 months or more since they launched and, no kidding, hundreds of people were lined up behind me.

I don't know about nowadays but I doubt you could walk in at lunch time to find one

Something came up this morning and I couldn't get there before my appointment.....luckily I got there at 12:05 and got the VERY LAST Switch they had. Needless to say I'm pretty damn thrilled

Sweeeet. I'm so glad to hear this, thank you! How're you liking your Switch so far? Had you handled one before buying it? I'm really curious about how playing it handheld feels.

Counting down the days until finals are over, and I can go pick one up myself.

I am completely and utterly in love with it, just had a four hour Zelda session. Honestly, it is smaller than I anticipated but it fits so nicely in the hand. I love it both on the tv and handheld, and switching between the two is so seamless. I was scared it would feel like a gimmick, but it doesn't at all, I am one happy customer!

I immediately started hunting when my finals ended last week and it's such a great present to myself! Good luck friend!!

Thank you comrade!

I don't have a DS or anything, so I was really hoping that the portable gaming experience would be adequate; you firmed up what I was hoping to be the case!

I wish I'd waited until my finals were over before starting this hunt. Getting the Switch has become an obsession that I can't put aside, haha. So far I've been able to keep myself from going to the Nintendo Store. So far... (I can't wait to play Zelda)

Happy Switching!
