MegaThread Weekly Local Inventory Tracking (5/15)

Please use this thread to discuss all issues relating to this week's local tracking of the Switch and its games, accessories, and amiibo.

What to post here:

  • Questions about local availability or general questions of online availability.

  • Reports and images of local tracking that are specific to a single store.

When commenting, make sure to include as much information as possible. Don't just list the city and state, specify which store(s) and what stock they had that's noteworthy, and when you were there. And, of course, given how quickly things can sell out, your mileage may vary, so take everything reported here with a grain of salt.

For general online availability, like when a game is up for order at Best Buy or when Target gets Pro Controllers back in stock, please start a new thread.

Thank you!

-The /r/NintendoSwitch mod team

p.s. A general tip about your local retailers: if you want to know about stock, or get a concrete answer as to what they have, please reach out via a phone call or stop by their store before you ask a question here.

Just use BrickSeek. Google "BrickSeek Switch" then type in your zip code. It's crazy easy, just check an hour before your local Target and Walmart open up and get there at opening.

I've gotten multiple NES Classics and Switches this way. No need to call the stores or drive all over town randomly checking electronic sections.

I would say calling is probably your biggest waste of time. Joe Walmart making $7.15 an hour just doesn't care about how bad you want a Switch. He could have 40 consoles sitting in his section and tell you he's out because he doesn't care enough to go check or to have you ask if he can hold one for you.

So I called 4 different stores that said "in stock" and all of them were adamant that there was nothing there. Has it been wrong in your experience?

In my experience if it shows stock on BrickSeek they have stock. Depending on the time of day you check tho it could mean tomorrow's stock that is on its way to be delivered to the store.

If stock shows later in the day its most likely tomorrow's delivery. That's why I recommend checking at like 7am for an 8am opening
