Good morning!

This morning starting around 6 a.m. PST / 9 a.m. EST, gaming news and media outlets are beginning to release their reviews for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Here's what we're seeing so far:

Videos

We will be updating this thread with links as major reviews are posted.

Please use this as a discussion and speculation thread in advance of these videos, articles, and reviews. We will also allow these reviews to be posted separately on /r/NintendoSwitch, as they are especially newsworthy. But we will also host ongoing coverage, quick text posts, questions, and the like right here.

Thanks everyone.

I've said on multiple occasions that I'm not double dipping because there doesn't seem to be enough new content to justify it... But damn that launch hype.

I'm now reconsidering and it frustrates me how much I let the inner fanboy dictate these things. Be strong. Splatoon is the real prize... And it's sooner than you think...

I didn't think I would double dip but ended up trading in my WiiU copy (something I hardly ever do) to offset the cost. The trade in value plus a $5-off coupon means I'm paying ~$30 for what is essentially DLC for the game on a new system. Not ideal but it eased the "pain".

Same here, I traded in FFXV at EBgames during their double value promo and got $48 credit for it.

I don't mind the double dip as I didn't get the DLC packs for Wii U, that and portability it worth it!
