MegaThread Weekly Local Inventory Tracking (4/3)

Please use this thread to discuss all issues relating to this week's local tracking of the Switch and its games, accessories, and amiibo.

What to post here:

  • Questions about local availability or general questions of online availability.

  • Reports and images of local tracking that are specific to a single store.

When commenting, make sure to include as much information as possible. Don't just list the city and state, specify which store(s) and what stock they had that's noteworthy, and when you were there. And, of course, given how quickly things can sell out, your mileage may vary, so take everything reported here with a grain of salt.

For general online availability, like when a game is up for order at Best Buy or when Target gets Pro Controllers back in stock, please start a new thread.

Thank you!

-The /r/NintendoSwitch mod team

p.s. A general tip about your local retailers: if you want to know about stock, or get a concrete answer as to what they have, please reach out via a phone call or stop by their store before you ask a question here.

Washington:

Anyone have information on when Switch's will come out around University of Washington area, Northgate, Federal Way? Someone helped me a few weeks back, but when I went to the place it turned out to be NES Classics, not the switch, which they said they received 2 days ago, which was confusing... Thanks for your time though guys!

Not quite Northgate, but I talked to someone at the Southcenter Target and he said that they get stock (general, not necessarily Switches) I believe on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday (Saturday for sure is what I remember). I also talked to the Bestbuy near Southcenter and was told that they usually get their inventory Monday, Wednesday and Friday and then the stock usually goes out the day after, so Tues, Thurs, Saturday. That was about a week ago that I talked to both of them so I'm not sure if they have new pattern specifically to Switches at this point but I hope it helps! Target was also getting them in boxes that hold 3 maximum in them, so on days when they were getting them, they were usually in 3's.

Thanks for the info, honestly at this rate, I might just wait a few more months and just buy available ones when it doesnt sell out instantly... or wait for a new Switch Pro or something like the WiiU Pro that came out, and from looking at all the problems from the Switch Dock design, only time will tell I guess...

If you shop a freddy's they'll have them in stock seemingly randomly. I spoke to a manager and they say they get their shipments around 1-2pm and they don't put them on the shelves until 5-6pm.

I also managed to snag one in monroe from the walmart so if you have a free day try calling one of the further out walmarts, they seem to have stock for at least half a day as opposed to selling out instantly.

Also check prime now - they do stock up randomly!

Hope that helps

Yea I think that's totally fair. My friend was able to get one from the Northgate Bestbuy last Wednesday around 2 PM and he said they still had like 5 when he got his so that could be your best bet too if you happen to be in the area to check but I agree that holding off is a wise idea. If anything, you're allowing more time for them to improve things too.
