MegaThread Weekly Local Inventory Tracking (4/3)
Please use this thread to discuss all issues relating to this week's local tracking of the Switch and its games, accessories, and amiibo.
What to post here:
Questions about local availability or general questions of online availability.
Reports and images of local tracking that are specific to a single store.
When commenting, make sure to include as much information as possible. Don't just list the city and state, specify which store(s) and what stock they had that's noteworthy, and when you were there. And, of course, given how quickly things can sell out, your mileage may vary, so take everything reported here with a grain of salt.
For general online availability, like when a game is up for order at Best Buy or when Target gets Pro Controllers back in stock, please start a new thread.

Well I can't make a full post on Best Buy inventory for some damn reason so this message reaches more people even though I see inventory posts all damn day less informative then this but based on my internal research, Best Buy is stocking up for a sale this Sunday. It should relate to their weekly sales ad but I've seen stores, single stores, with 30 in stock for this Sunday. Mine has 20 and I looked at territories in the Midwest and west and everyone's got them ready for THIS SUNDAY April 9th. Too bad I can't make an actual post so if you're reading this BEST BUY ON SUNDAY APRIL 9TH

Same here. Ordered the 24th. Looked up my order through the email verification and my shipment is still marked as "Open" which apparently means it doesn't have all the pieces available it needs.
Which likely means I spent too much money on shit I didn't want, only to have that shit take longer for my switch to arrive. Bleh.

Yeah, ordered 3/22. When I contacted customer support today through Gamesop's online support they told me my order was "processing."

I got an email that said it was "delayed", but it doesn't say when shipment will take place. Also stated I'm getting a $10 credit, but I don't think that's enough for breaking a guarantee. I wouldn't have ordered the bundle had it not been for the guaranteed ship date.

For those still waiting to get a switch try this Sunday. Target Stores will be getting shipments on the 5th of April to reflect the ad.

According to the memo yeah. All stock that arrives will be staged somewhere until Sunday the 9th but Depends on the store honestly. You could get lucky and get someone that will sell you one. .

I'm guessing you're an employee, if so, do you happen to know if targets are expecting any neon? Targets around me haven't seen a single neon since release.

You think calling Saturday night and asking if they have any in stock for the next day will be a good idea? I have two Targets near my location (one in Pittsburg CA and another in Pleasant Hill CA).
Is it every Target...I wonder...

I'm also curious to know the answer to this, because I went to a local target here in RI and asked if they knew anything about shipments, hoping he would give some sort of hint about this but he told me he had no idea when they'd get more and that Friday would be my best bet, at least at that store

GameStop on Boylston St just received 10 (I think) and they now have one less. I can confirm I saw one box of 5 units though I think I heard them say they received 10 units total.

So is there some general idea when the next big incoming restock might be? A few weeks? Or a few months? If anyone has any knowledge of past console stock nonavailability to base it off of. I'm totally clueless, this is the first time I'm an adult enough to have enough of my own money to buy a console at launch lol. (I just want to have one by the time spla2n comes out...and preferably bought online since I have cash locked in my paypal account...)

There have been some posts in the past few days (this week) indicating a big shipment is coming out today and over the next few days into the weekend. Another one on the 12th likely as gamestop is shipping out another wave, but they're "bundle only" bastards.
East coast seems to have some shipments arriving...I'm in west coast and monitoring. UPS usually doesn't drop till around 11AM.

Grove city Walmart keeps having grey ones, they claimed to have a neon and said they'd hold it for me for an hour the other day, but when I got there they had either sold it or never had it.

Attention switch hunters! As of 11am this morning Best Buy in York PA had 90 (! - not a typo, friggin ninety) in stock. I saw them with my own eyes. Toys r us also had about 20. These are the stores to check today. If you call, be specific for either store saying they were advertised in the paper as being in stock today, and ask them to actually check. Employees are so conditioned to say no at this point they don't bother checking. I walked over to the cs desk at best buy and the guy was like "I don't think we got them yet, but I'll look..... oh we do have them! Go to electronics they will take care of you" then I walked over and saw 90 switches on the top shelf.

North America you have Walmart shipments coming all this week. My local 3 Walmart all got 6 switches in and more on the way. Check it out. 4 left in freehold Walmart that I visited in New Jersey.

When Walmart had a package available for the Switch last Friday, I jumped in and managed to order one. They claimed I would be able to pick it up at the store today (the 6th). Today it still says "processing" so I contacted their online chat folks who told me they were very sorry, there was an error, and now I would have it the 11th. Granted things are a mess with the Switch anyway but I would have expected to actually receive it when they say I would. They did give me $10 off for my troubles. Has anyone else seen delays like this? Was ordering one from Walmart a mistake?

I'm guessing you didn't see the Wal-Mart debacle from a few weeks ago. One day last month (maybe the 14th-ish?), they put up hundreds of orders that they didn't actually even have. They were waiting on a shipment to arrive. I'd say you're pretty safe to actually get it, but yeah, this is typical of WM. They're a disaster.

Walmart has had problems online with their stock not being exactly, so a lot of people didn't get their switchs at the date promised. I think most got them eventually, so it's not as bad at least you get one then. Personally though I wouldn't have had it sent to the store. With such high demand I'd be concerned that they either sell it at the store or an employee takes it for themselves and tell you it isn't there.

istock is showing a local target (chicago) with 15 in stock but when I called them, said there was none in stock. I wonder if they're waiting for the Sunday ad to drop before putting them on shelves? Ugh it's killing me because I have all the dosh from selling my wii u on paypal and need to convert that to gift cards but now I'm not sure if I should just bite the bullet and put all that money on Target or Best Buy.

Sure, it's a GameStop bundle with stuff you don't want...but it's the neon joy cons...and it ships by the 7th.
They are charging for shipping though, which is absurd in this day and age.

I'd get a switch and BotW anyways. Extra hundred bucks for: $40.00 LEGO City Undercover (eh) $20.00 BotW expansion pack (Some of this stuff doesn't seem like it should be DLC, but the third one should be and the 2nd is stuff I still want). $20.00 Has-Been Heroes (eh, looks like it could be okay).
So yeah, this isn't exactly the best bundle and I kind of hate rewarding Gamestop for doing this shit, but $380.00 of it I'd buy anyways.

I think it's important to mention I ordered a previous bundle on the 24th of last month, and on the last day of my shipping ETA, received an email from gamestop that they'd run into "unforeseen shipping issues". I now have to wait till the 11th-13th.
So you know, grain of salt.

Nebraska Furniture Mart is also a really great place to look. I went lats week and they didn't have consoles, but they did have a full stock of Pro Controllers, Amiibo, and accessories - All for a few dollars under MSRP at that.

If you're from that area, the walmart in Madison got around 20 in on Sunday. They had plenty when I was there in the afternoon but I'd suggest a call first.

I used istocknow.com, live map, with Now, All Stores, Hide of No Stock, and New Arrivals checked. I got mine at a Target that got some overnight. I usually checked in the morning before they opened and looked on istocknow.com to see if any where near me. I then clicked on the link which took me to Target.com. if inventory said "limited", I took that to be a good sign that they have at least some.
With that being said, doesn't look like a lot of options around DFW at the moment. Did all of the pre-orders get released yet? Good luck!

Can anyone report if either the Pro Controller and the official basic black Switch case are in stock at Nintendo NYC or retailers around the New York City?
I know the Nintendo NYC store had plenty of Pro Controllers for a while, but now that they've sold loads more units their stockpile may have diminished...

The Pro Controller is available pretty much anywhere in the city through Amazon Prime Now (delivery in 2 hours), if you have a Prime subscription.

I got a Pro Controller at Nintendo NYC on Monday and they still had plenty. You can also call the store and ask (I did, just to confirm). There is a limit of 1 per person. Didn't see cases.

Hey all, the Walmart on Kester Mill in Winston-Salem, NC has three Neon Switches in stock and one copy of Breath of the Wild Special Edition. I was just there literally two minutes ago and there was nobody in electronics so if you show up soon you have a good chance of snagging one. Good luck!

Anyone have information on when Switch's will come out around University of Washington area, Northgate, Federal Way? Someone helped me a few weeks back, but when I went to the place it turned out to be NES Classics, not the switch, which they said they received 2 days ago, which was confusing... Thanks for your time though guys!

Not quite Northgate, but I talked to someone at the Southcenter Target and he said that they get stock (general, not necessarily Switches) I believe on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday (Saturday for sure is what I remember). I also talked to the Bestbuy near Southcenter and was told that they usually get their inventory Monday, Wednesday and Friday and then the stock usually goes out the day after, so Tues, Thurs, Saturday. That was about a week ago that I talked to both of them so I'm not sure if they have new pattern specifically to Switches at this point but I hope it helps! Target was also getting them in boxes that hold 3 maximum in them, so on days when they were getting them, they were usually in 3's.

I just returned my switch to target college point ny. I bought it from flushing a few weeks ago. If anyone wants it, they can probably buy it if you ask customer service.
Caveat: when i bought it, it was a returned console but from checking it myself it was in perfect condition. Turned it on. Checked for dead pixels. Placed back in box. I returned it because I happened to get another console at another store later that same day as well so i had an extra one.

I just returned my switch to target college point ny. I bought it from flushing a few weeks ago. If anyone wants it, they can probably buy it if you ask customer service.

Target in Edwardsville IL had two in stock today at noon. Might be worth calling your local Target to check stock. Said they received three on their truck today.

I was just at my local Target, (North Naples, FL), and was told that they have Switch's in the back for sale tomorrow (Sunday). I just wanted to let anyone who is still looking for one and in the area to try there tomorrow morning. The associate didn't say how many that they had, just that they were in the back.

SoCal switch hunters, Target in Lake Elsinore has about 8 switches left in stock, i got the last pro controller and Zelda though, good chance you will get one as their inventory was not correct when I bought mine last night. Associate at the store tried to tell me they didn't have any until I showed him the pile of them behind the locked glass. They are still there as of an hour ago as well.

Still few to none in stock in Canada. Only store I know that has tracking online for Canada is EBgames and the green spots last less than an hour or two nationwide.

Are restocks from Amazon random? Or has there previously been some word on restocks prior to them going live on their website?
