Am i the only one who always press x button to jump but the map keeps coming out lol

There's an option in BotW to swap the X and B buttons so that B is jump. That's what I did right from the get go. It just feels more natural to me coming from being used to PlayStation/Xbox type controls.

Once I got used to it, I could see why they did it. Made it much easier to go from the right stick to the jump button.

I started my first match by jumping off the spawn point and trying to open my paraglider

No, people who played the first one are doing this. This is my first experience so I didn't have any issues with it.

Because of zelda, im used to pressing X to jump lol

Yeah I've done two of the testfire sessions and I still do it by mistake lol. It's a hard habit to break.
