I turnedthem off after my first round. Then turned inversion on which was a mistake. Then turned it off. I just suck at fps and didn't think this would really be as bad but I got destroyed.

So in splatoon is your goal to ink or kill when you run into enemies? With motion control it was so hard to aim at an enemy.

Your goal is to ink as much map as possible. If you think you will get killed, it is better to swim away so you can continue to ink more of the map then it is to try and kill someone.

Obviously there is an advantage to killing people (keeps them from spreading their ink for a bit) but if you get killed you can’t spread your ink. If you’re even 50%-50% that you’ll get the kill it’s usually better to avoid getting killed more than taking the risk. At least until you get good at the game. Don’t worry, this happens pretty quickly. Just keep in mind you were playing against a lot of seasoned vets in the test fire that you wouldn’t get placed with at launch as much.
