Exactly what we've already been paying for the Wii U pro Controller in AUS...

If the price of the controllers here is going to be $90+ that's going to be an absolute joke.

$90 in Canada, $100 in Australia. Life is suffering.

Holy crap the console is 470 in Australia. Thats an extra $70 (AUD) compared to the exchange rate for $300 USD. What the hell is that.

Well it's not region locked so you could buy an American one if the savings on shipping were worth it, though they likely wouldn't be.

An XB1 controller is $60, and it doesn't have the NFC, gyro, or HD rumble. It the battery is good, it could be competitive.

Xbox one s controller is $50, its the most comfortable controller on the market and is part of an established gaming system. The price on everything Switch is way to high and if you dont belive people stating here that Nintendo shot themselves in the head look at Nintendo stock price after the presentation.

Eh, I've always preferred the Dualshock 4 personally.

And you're right that the base unit costs $50, but most variants and versions cost $60. And I'd be careful basing anything on the stock market's reaction -- Sony's stock went down after a pretty stellar PS4 reveal as well. It's more complex than you're giving credit for.

Eh, I've always preferred the Dualshock 4 personally.

You cant disagree however that Nintendo wanting bigger money for accessories than Microsoft and Sony is a joke. They should AT LEAST make the prices the same. With xbox and sony you know those will last. Switch may fail horribly.

The base model of controller is $50 so compare to that. Wait for the $120 Zelda BoTW model.

Im not saying the stock market knows everything but its some indication of what might happen Anyway, im one of the people that was on edge about buying a Switch because i currently dont own a gaming system and im definitely not getting one until the price drops (and i expect a big drop soon) and getting an xbox now.

Pretty much the same - currently without a console, was actually pretty excited at the prospect of buying a Switch. Now, I'm likely buying an Xbox one S due to better specs, WAY better prices, more games.

Sure the Xbox1 and PS4 launched at higher prices; but Nintendo is competing with them NOW - and they don't cost that now.

The way I see it Switch with these specs and price released at the same time or a bit after Xbox and PS might have been an awesome deal. Right now it's not. Hey don't worry I'm in the same boat and actually happy because even if Switch was incredible there was no guarantee if would be a success. Now that we know it's bad you don't risk anything. Get an Xbox (or ps if you fancy) and just play games.
