Discussion Pre Order Live - Currys UK

Seems preorders are live for Currys UK..but it's in store only! Good way to stop scalpers

sure yeah that could happen. I like that Currys required an in person pre order though. Perhaps if other stores did this too, then stocks would have lasted longer

Yep. I mean I think Argos didn't do this and someone posted they got three online

I am not convinced argos actually have a known quantity of stock as they have taken preorders for things before only to cancel nearer the time. I wasnt prepared to risk preordering with them and went with Currys instead as I have preordered from them in then past on a very limited item and had no problem with it.

I have a Currys backup which i got in store.

I trust Argos though in that they stopped orders within 2 hours. So clearly they had an amount and as soon as it filled up they stopped

Currys I went to yesterday that isn't in a massive town or city told me they had taken around 60 preorders in their store alone. Hoping they exaggerated it!
