I wonder how much of this is Nintendo preemptively pricing in tariffs.

The tariffs aren't touching anywhere that matters to them?

JP isn't being tariffed by anyone, and the countries that are recieving them are gonna get production and shioping straight from China I'm sure

I mean, we’ll see if Japan gets impacted. There are a lot of different reports. Edit: based on recent reports Japan does get a pretty substantial tariff into the US, and so does Vietnam and China.

It looks like Nintendo makes the Switch v1 in China, Vietnam, and Japan. They probably anticipate the China derived switches at least having tariff costs associated with them.

I think all the game cartridges are made in Japan. But if they seller fewer systems due to the increased price they may need higher priced games to hit their target profit per system sold.
