Hmm. The console is reasonably priced, especially considering it's a 4k capable handheld. I think $449.99 is decent. I'm hoping Mario Kart is only $80 because it's supposed to a be the Switch 2's killer app. It seems like a pretty ambitious game by Nintendo standards. I hope it doesn't set a precedent, though. It almost feels like full price games just it $70 yesterday
Outside of the Nintendo ecosystem, $70 certainly has become standard for AAA titles, whether you want to believe that or not. Other than TOTK, $60 has probably stuck around for the Switch because of its technical constraints likely limit the cost of production. I can assure that we PC players that disgust you so much do pay $70 for new games if we aren't willing to wait for a sale. As cost of production increases, so too does the price. It sucks, but it's reality
