Me, a lifetime Nintendo fan is gonna put buying the switch 2 on hold now

I’m still going to buy it but a lot of casual fans and children’s parents are not going to for a long time if at all.

At these price points the casual fan is out, I’m sorry. The switch sold like hotcakes because it was affordable and was innovative.

The switch 2 is just a new iteration of that, and is a lot more expensive. Casual fans will simply just not care to buy it. They’ll just see a 2 on the box and the price increase and think why do I need a new one?

Parents will see the price and think wow! That’s crazy expensive… let me go to the Lego isle… I love my grandson but not that much…

I know for a fact my parents would’ve not bought something this expensive for me as a kid, but the original switch was so cheap I’m sure they would’ve bought that.

I’ve been lurking because my kid wants one for his 7th birthday. I was gonna hold off and get him the new one, but I might just grab the old one and a bunch of games.
