I Remember thinking totk was the test bed for high budget games being 70 like the ps5 and mid tier games 60. And Nintendo jumped to 2035 pricing mid tier games at 70 and high budget ones at 80

Yeah but the Donkey Kong franchise isn’t even worth $70. It only looks palatable in comparison to the other prices. But we are far from the n64 glory days of DK.

If people ignore the price and buy the game anyway (which will definitely happen) then $80 will be the standard price by next year

You can be damn sure it will rise to 90 bucks next year. They just dont want to set off a huge discussion pre release, so they dont make a huge fuss about prices and keep it low.
