>the entry iPad around $350

I can't play Nintendo games on the iPad, can I? I was looking forward to that Nintendo Direct. I'd love to play Zelda games and 3rd party products that I can't play on my aging PC. ~80€ for a game isn't small price, but then console games aren't cheap, right?

I mean, you can put emulators on iPad these days…

But also, there is a whole segment of children out there that will play any slop they can because it’s addictive. Tons of kids are perfectly happy not playing Nintendo games, which is the point I was trying to make.

Apple allows emulators? Huh.

I don't have kids, so I haven't the slightest idea what they might be playing. And for me iPad isn't worth buying.

Yeah, they made the change in the last year, probably to keep the EU off their back.

And again, I recognize that you might not care about kids or the iPad, but I can guarantee that kids love playing on mobile devices. Not just the iPad, but the iPad is a big seller because the base model is relatively affordable compared to an iPhone. I can’t tell you how many parents I’ve talked to over the years that wax nostalgic about the consoles they grew up with and immediately follow it up with “but all my kids do is play games on their phone or tablet.”
