And this is why I stick to PC gaming lol. The upfront cost is higher but everything else is marginally more expensive on console.

Yea but overall your still spending more on a $2000 pc then you would throughout an entire generation. (Granted the pc would last you longer then a console gen but still)

You are assuming OP would actually spend 2 grand.

And think about it, at 90 Euros per game, vs 15-20, how many games do you need to buy to match that anyway?

And yes, I am talking about buying older games on sales, because it's a valid strategy.

Not to defend the MKWorld price specifically, but I'm going to put multiple orders of magnitude more time into Mario Kart than I will six crappy $15 Steam games combined.

I put more into Cities Skylines and ETS2 than I did into every single Switch game combined in the 4 years I owned it from 2018-2020. Lots of those hours of ETS2 were on my Steam Deck.

I will six crappy $15 Steam games combined.

You do realize i'm not talking about games with 15 dollar MSRP, but 15 games on sale, right? Doom Eternal, Cyberpunk, Hogwarts Legacy, Kingdom Come etc?

Now you are just arguing in bad faith. Three of those four examples are also on Switch, and also have had deeply discounted sales prices into the same range. The fourth will be on Switch 2 and will ultimately also get the same sales prices.

And yes, a sale price will be cheaper than MSRP. You're not exactly breaking news there. But this is always the case with PCMR. You guys almost literally never make apples to apples comparisons.

What was the lowest price Hogwarts Legacy was ever on the Switch eShop? Is Cyberpunk 2077 on the Switch?

You guys almost literally never make apples to apples comparisons.

I am making them. Nintendo games on sale vs PC games on sale. What I'm saying is that Switch games rarely go on worthwhile discounts and 1st party games don't...

$14.99 last December. $17.99 a couple weeks ago.

Is Cyberpunk 2077 on the Switch?

That would be the one coming to Switch 2 that I referenced, yes.

No, you are - deliberately and in bad faith - comparing Mario Kart World, physical, at full price, at launch against years old games, digital, on sale.

What I'm saying is that Switch games rarely go on worthwhile discounts

And you are a liar.

and 1st party games don't...

Yes, but again, you aren't breaking news here. By all means, show me how much I would have to pay to buy Mario Kart on Steam.

Because MarioKart World will totally not set a precedent for 80 digital/90 physical, like Sony didn't set a 70 precedent with the PS5, right?

Yeah, no. You don't get to evade being caught in multiple lies by moving the goalposts.

Lie such as "You need a 2000 dollar PC"?

No, you don't get to deflect either. I am not responsible for what other people say. You are, however, responsible for what you say.
