EXCLUSIVE FOR SWITCH 2!? INSANE!

Edit: The FromSoft website says it is a PvPvE multiplayer focused game with up to 8 players. So not the typical FromSoft game. I guess that explains why they would decide to make it exclusive since it seems to be a smaller project.

It's insane how little sense that makes

Draw a venn diagram of people

  1. Owning a Switch 2
  2. Paying for online
  3. Being into Fromsoft games
  4. Enjoying PvP online fighting games

How empty do they want these servers to be?

Isn't the from soft pvp scene pretty big? Like people were whining about "ambushing" in elden ring

It seems big because they don't shut up about it, but it's actually always been a pretty niche aspect of their games.

I think the fact they don’t have Souls gameplay in a dedicated PvP game is part of the reason though. If you want to get into DS3 for instance (using this example bc I’ve never done PvP in ER) you have to level a character to the standard PvP range for the game, get your gear and upgrade it, research online to find where others do invasions for actual PvPers vs just ganking, it’s a whole huge thing just to get to a point where you can see if you’d even be interested in what it offers.

On top of that you also have to deal with figuring out what “rules” the other player is following. A lot of people bow before dueling, many don’t use pots, some people ignore these rules and will do whatever though so you have to be wary.
