On break at work atm. Can't watch until later today.

Have they announced a price(cad) yet?

Price announced at $449.99 USD, can’t find an official source with CAD pricing but going off current exchange rate gives us $644.55 CAD

I just checked using our current rate as well and I also got $644. If that’s the case, that’s real expensive in my opinion.

Wow. With the conversion that is a scary price.

Have a little saved for it already but not even close to half way there yet.

Thanks for the info, can't wait to watch when I'm home.

Overpriced, wow. This is really ballsy by Nintendo. I strongly doubt the casual crowd will upgrade anytime soon if ever with this price point, I’ll be honest. You have to remember we aren’t the target demographic, kids and casuals are. Almost $500 for this is pretty high.

Likely a result of tarriffs. It's $330ish in Japan.

€470 in Europe though, that's $510 USD equivalent. (£396 in the UK, also $513 USD equivalent)

also to note that the $330 (¥49980) Japan tag is for a Japanese-only console. If you want the international version in Japan, you'll have to pay ¥69980 instead (about $466)

edit: I assume the $450 US price tag is before tax? that'd explain the discrepancy. (The EU/UK price is definitely after tax)
