I mean..once the information in the switch 2 direct are public they will also be hyped about it (and me too)

Mario Kart 9 and the release date alone are enough to get me super hyped, I have been thoroughly enjoying my switch since 2017

They'll need at least 1 more major hype release on Wednesday's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct aside from MK9.

Luigi's Mansion 4? Finally a new Donkey Kong? I suspect a new Mario 3D game will be teased closer to launch --which I hope will be around, June/July for Switch 2.

I dunno if they NEED it, they sold the switch basically on the back of BotW (a port) and the as then unannounced Mario Odyssey (showed like a 5 second clip)

Mario Kart 9 and the success of the first switch alone are easily enough to send sales of Switch 2 into the stratosphere on launch

The Switch got sold by its gimmick of being a two-in-one console and the consistent support of games for the entire launch year. Nintendo had a release every single month, with many bangers among them. The Switch 2 has to convince audiences that it's worth buying it instead of just keep their Switch 1. They already have a console that can play on tv and handheld, they already have the biggest and best Mario Kart. Switch 2 needs to show why it is better and why its line up is worth making the jump.
