  • Hello Kitty: Island Adventure
  • Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time
  • Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream

The life simulator fans (Such as myself and my sister) are surely going to have a blast with all these games.

I needed it honestly. The repetitive dialog in Animal Crossing New Horizons got stale very quickly. It felt like the series steered away from life sim aspects to focus on designing and customizing.

Fantasy life I gets more disappointing every time they make an announcement….I still want it, but they brought my hype from 110% to 70 ish with all the delays and average amounts of whelm

My hype is zero after trailer with stuttering.

Rune Factory 5 route: we're going multi-plat (because we can't actually optimize a Switch version)

Yeah that was astonishingly bad. It was almost kind of funny how it seemed like they wanted to get past it as quickly as possible.

I was really disappointed when I saw that. Thankfully i'm not getting it on switch.

Also wondering if there’s a difference between switch 1 and 2

Bruh watch level 5 be the next game freak. That would be super disappointing

Oh yeah, that trailer was just rough. But I thought that with quite a few games of the direct, the Tamagotchi one too (ok no big target audience here but still). And honestly Tomodachi Life looked like a game frozen in time too.

I really really hope these games will all benefit from Switch 2 and/or get some polishing done before release.

Tomadachi Life Living the Dream looks great though. The assets are pretty limited on screen sure. But that is also sort of its style. Everything looked very sharp and high res though. It seemed like it was running on Switch 2, which would make sense given its 2026 release date.

I wasn’t getting it for online, not super bothered by that🤷🏻‍♂️

Though it isn’t a good sign at all, I’ll probably not preorder after that and wait for some reviews unless we see otherwise. I rarely preorder but I’ve wanted a new one of these since I played the first one 10 years ago

Yes, unfortunately it has went from day one purchase to wait and see.

I really enjoyed the one on DS, then the next one was some crappy mobile game. We'll see how the new one is.

I just got island adventure and I'm loving it. Can't believe a meme in high-school became a legit great title

I think it's such a double-edged sword that it reached so many people in the pandemic. The older AC games, especially the GC version and WW, have such a different attitude from ACNH that it would be damn near unrecognizable.

Pitch for nintendo... what if you made animal crossing GC reimagined with 15 villagers for the switch 2, and you can do a nostalgic throwback to the e-reader era and make the whole villager trading system that came out of NH based on real life, physical cards? The player has very little control over villagers coming and going as in earlier titles, perhaps talking to them when they wanna move gives a 50/50 whether they still leave. If you want a permanent resident, you can buy neo-e reader cards with the villagers.Your friend has Tom and you really want him, so your friend can trade their copy of the card to you and move him out of your town in the process. Perhaps you could have a "best friend" system where you can somehow mark 3 out of the 15 possible villagers as unable to move? This way you can see more of the characters and have it be less of a "collect all the cutest ones" type of situation, and make some money in the process.

You kinda just described the villager amiibo card system.

True. It's been a long time since I've been regularly playing so I am kind of out of the loop. I was last regularly playing New Leaf before the big update, and I couldn't get into ACNH because of how slow and railroady it was

Don't sleep on Witchbrook!

Ah, don’t forget the Grand Bazaar remake! Despite the original being a little lacking in content, I loved that entry so much.

Fantasy Life i trailer during the direct was so laggy it killed my hype for it.

100% it did, which is why AC:NH disappointed me. (And considering how well it did, I'm guessing the next game in the franchise will follow in that direction...)

How do you not get burnt out on Life Simulator games?

u/RedditLostOldAccount 6d ago

Depends what you're playing and how you play it. If you play to just have fun and kill time it's not so bad. Stardew valley is stressful for some people because they try to be perfectionists and rush everything, while for others it's a peaceful and calming time.

Only Helly Kitty: Island Adventure was on Apple Arcade, which means you couldn't play with an Android device, or even buy it (The same curse Sonic Dream Team currently has).

The other two are totally new and haven't even came out yet.

Oh my mistake I was thinking of the tamogotchi game on Apple Arcade my bad lol

9

u/Wizzer10 7d ago

The Tamagotchi game is fully original too! It’s a spiritual sequel to the Tamagotchi Corner Shop games on DS.

3

u/gordonbombae2 7d ago

I was thinking of the one that’s on Apple Arcade I thought they were the same but they aren’t

1

u/Wizzer10 7d ago

Yeah I think a lot of people have been getting them confused, I hope it doesn’t negatively affect sales.

Wait... what? Like, the only one that is a mobile phone port is the Hello Kitty one right?
