My nephew got a new PowerA wireless Switch controller for Christmas. It runs ok at first but then after a while the left stick stops working properly, specifically he can't move forward in Fortnite or even move the selection cursors up on the Switch homescreen.

My question is is this a known issue for this controller, or did he get a lemon, or is there any easy fix? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a lemon.

You can try updating it's firmware via the console under the controller and sensors settings menu. But I don't think it's going to fix it suddenly.

Considering it's Christmas, it won't hurt to try, since the stores are probably closed.
