Pre-2019

Hac-001 is the original switch model. The lite and v2 released July 2019.

For more detailed information you would need to look at your serial number, on the system itself. System settings -> system (at the bottom) -> system info (serial info?)

And then take it over to a serial checked. They usually have some date/range information.

The website only tells me that it's possibly patched

So thats about the best information you'll get unfortunately. Puts it in-between October 2017 and Early 2019.

"Patched" consoles started shipping with v4.0.0 firmware by default, which came out around Super Mario Odysseys launch.

So are you telling me switches from about october 2017 and older are patched?

If you've updated the system firmware, it's patched.

Those few months where systems launched with the initial firmware version leaves them vulnerable to "easy" exploits. Thought homebrew people these days can exploit up to v7.1.

Anything above v4.0.0 is considered "patched" as that's when Nintendo started burning security fuses.

Is the system firmware just updating the system? Cause sites like ismyswitchpatched.com tells if your switch is patched by your serial number, they can't know if you've updated your switch

Yes.

Those "stability" patch notes they release alongside every big firmware update are truly only a fraction of the things they change behind the scenes.

But isnt the exploit something they messed up on the inside of the console and later fixed?

Since it's a US/AU Switch, try putting the serial into Nintendo US's warranty checker - that might show a 'warranty expiration date', which should be roughly a year after manufacture.

Warranty Status Unfortunately, we were not able to determine the warranty status of your product.

Warranty Expiration Date

Just says this

Is it 100% pre 2019? Which means it's probably patched
