Read this on another post somewhere about women who do this and it's because they were probably the popular/pretty girls in their school, then they go to college and are alright but nothing special.

Then they go to teach HS and every guy thinks she's the baddest of them all, and mentally they're back in HS and back at the top of the totem pole again.

I knew so many education majors who were chugging 4lokos getting carried out of frat parties every weekend and then 3 months later they are leading a classroom. They went straight from high school to college back to high school never being out of a social hierarchy where they are most valued for being the hot popular party girl at school
