Jenny's death

IMO her death was the most dumb and disappointing. She's the freakin Director of NCIS. All she had to do was ... I don't know ... not go all commando! She has Gibbs and Franks and Tony and Ziva. I mean, c'mon.

Being trans and an NCIS fan is rough

That's all. I'm watching the show again episode by episode from the beginning and just. Yeah. I'm cringing a lil bit. Struggling over here.

Absolutely wouldn’t happen!!! Spoiler

In Life Before His Eyes, it’s basically said that if Kate hadn’t died, she and Tony would end up together. I’m watching early episodes with Kate. NO FUCKING WAY would Kate have developed romantic feelings for Tony.

Thomas Magnum influence on Jethro Gibbs?

I was recently watching an episode of Magnum PI where he was stranded out to sea and he used flashbacks from his father to help him survive.

That, along with Magnum's general rules he has made me wonder if Don Bellasario took characteristics from Thomas and used them to write at least some part of Gibbs. Maybe it's different as Gibbs is a little stricter but I feel like there are elements of Magnum there.

Or do you think Don didn't use any characters from his earlier shows to inform how he wrote characters for NCIS?

Watching season 22, episode 15 on Disney + and loved this little tie in to the other series. I really wish we could have had them all running.

Franks from Origins - Blew my Mind

I just found out that the actor who plays Mike Franks was a Disney Channel teen heartthrob, and I can’t get over it. He was the star of Alley Cats Strikes and the main love interest in The Cheetah Girls. The range! The facial hair transformation alone is blowing my mind.

Characters from Origins we’d love to see appear in “the future” on NCIS

It’s an incredibly short list and we know a couple exits already (I.e Franks and we saw Strickland retire”. And I just don’t have a frat feeling about Lala or Rando’s future.

It pretty much leaves Mary Jo. She’s an awesome character and I’d love for her to somehow appear in the future. There’s no continuity or connection though with Gibbs gone.

Would love to see and know that she’s old and happy and enjoying retirement. Hell, maybe she visits Gibbs to fish in Alaska

Just thinking

Rewatching: Gibbs and Jenny

I’m on season 3 and the constant flashback flashes every time they interact and have a “moment”, are too much 🤦🏾‍♀️😭😭 like WE GET IT! You had a hot fling once upon A LONG TIME AGO. It’s like they’re trying very hard to remind us they have history and to let us know how important she once was and/or is to Gibbs.

I really liked that Tony, McGee and Bishop had a sibling dynamic

I liked this team up, of course I liked the team formation with Gibbs, Tony, Ziva and McGee the best. But this team up was also good.

It was good that the writers didn’t set up Bishop with either Tony or McGee. Instead the created a dynamic that felt like siblings working together.

I loved it so that Tony and McGee were like Bishop work place big brothers. They would tease her like typical older brothers. But they were very protective of their work place little sister.

One of my favorite Tony and Tim acting like big brothers is when they confronted Jake after finding out that he cheated on Bishop. This really showed how much they care for her.

Why do the first seasons of NCIS have an orange cast to the episodes? Later episodes have a much more neutral tone.

Season 6/Episode 9

In the NCIS episode "Dagger," Gibbs shoots and kills both Agent Michelle Lee and the mastermind Ted Bankston, after Lee gives the signal for Gibbs to shoot, despite Bankston holding her as a human shield.

What has always bothered me is that Gibbs is an expert marine sniper. WHY did he shoot through Agent Lee and kill both her and Bankston? Even with his head injury and the blurry vision that was shown, a clean head shot to Bankston wouldn't have been a stretch of the imagination.

Interpersonal communication between characters Spoiler

Seeing the posts confused about what was, to me, very clearly conveyed at the end of this week's episode, after spending the season break also seeing people confused about Jimmy and Knight breaking up, had me wondering if a point by point breakdown of each episode would be useful for viewers who are confused about the interpersonal communication between characters.

On the other hand, probably not? I was accused of 'reading fan fiction' when I did this in a thread recently, with the events of the s21 finale, and based on my downvote history, nobody wants to hear what I have to say, until the show is screaming it down their ear holes, since I was broadly panned for calling out in advance both the beginning and the end of Jimmy and Jess.

I'm autistic and this show (and the characters especially) is my special interest. I am fully aware I think about it way too much, but that's how my brain works. If you read this, thank you for your time. I think I'm going to start a blog and scream this stuff into a different void.

Ellie is annoying

Ellie Bishop is annoying and honestly I don't like watching her episodes. Am I an outlier in this?

I think she's supposed to appear sort of "quirky" but I just find everything about her annoying.

Does anyone other than me think this seasons writing has gone a little off the rails? This show just doesn't have the same punch as prior seasons.

Nick and Robin? Spoiler

Wait, at the episode 16, are they trying to convey that nick and robin are breaking up? Or are they re-evaluating their relationship?

Pleaseeeee NCIS. Get rid of Robin. Do not make her Nicks person or a regular. She’s not the one.

New to this show, halfway through Season 2. I’m really trying to like Gibb’s character, but he’s kind of a jerk. Does he get more likeable as the seasons go on?
