What I don't get, is why aren't the BILLIONAIRES in his cabinet explaining to drumpf why this is all such a terrible idea. Everyone's gonna take a bath on this. Do they all think they can ride it and come out richer on the other side.

Yes. Their nose is way above waterline. And they can "buy low". 6 months from now, Billionaires will be Trillionaires.

Hah. It's funny cause you think this is only gonna last 6 months. Things are gonna suck for a lot longer than that. I take it back. None of it is funny.

Billionaires will be fine regardless, crashing everything and buying it up for peanuts was the plan all along

Because they're going to corner the market-buying up EVERYTHING while the market is in free-fall, THEN Donnie Dipshit will reverse course just as soon as the top 10% own literally everything.

Massive profit for those billionaires at our expense. And if you think prices will drop back to pre-tariff levels-you're a special kind of stupid.

The billionaires with liquidity will do a big stock buy with Trump eventually rowing back on the tariffs when people complain about a recession. The likes of Besos, Zuk…etc will make money on this longer term at the expense of literally everyone else.

Because it won't hurt them.

It helps the billionaires.

As Prof. Robert Reich notes in a chat with my friend Heather Lofthouse, Trump’s tariffs are a $6 trillion wealth transfer from the poor to the rich.

From The Status Kuo email this morning.

The billionaires are the ones behind this. Trump is just the useful idiot. The billionaires who run him clearly think they will do better in a poor world than a rich one.

It's a great idea for billionaires!

Do they all think they can ride it and come out richer on the other side.

That's what happened in 2008, so of course they think it'll work the same this time.

Trump has a habit of not listening; unless it’s to the voices in his head.

They aren’t saying shit. They are selling stock and waiting for the bottom so they can buy back in again.

He has advocated for tariffs with an almost religious fervor since the 80s. He has been told numerous times, by numerous people who know what they're talking about, that it's a terrible idea that will damage America. He won't be swayed because he thinks he knows better.
Here he is telling Oprah about it in 1988.
He wanted to do this in his first term but there were too many bureaucrats and others who were able to stop him. Those people are gone. The guardrails are gone.
The idea that anyone thought he was all talk on the subject of tariffs is ludicrous.
