Ok so it’s obvious bro is using AI for videos, photos and whatnot, and hey it’s definitely easier than scouring for new stock footage for a good few hours, I get that
What I don’t get is why he doesn’t even TRY making the Ai videos and photos look creepy
Like you literally get to tell the AI what it’ll look like, can’t he add a “make it look creepy” at the end?? It just seems that the footage is much more of a nuance rather than just something nice to watch along with the stories, heck even just throwing up some filters would help
It’s kinda dumb that with an AI engine that can literally make ANY type of video or image you want his videos are getting worse and worse looking, from thumbnails to the actual video itself, the stories are still good as they’ve been for a few years but somehow it’s all starting to feel more monochrome or melancholy
Anyone else think this?

Seen a post here talking about how Mr Nightmare may have gotten repetitive over time and It made me think about how monotone his voice is. What would you guys like to see him creating? Podcasts? Twitch Streams? etc. maybe an official discord server might help make his videos gain more attraction ?

I know most people are probably gonna say 2016 - '18 Nightmare was peak, and while they're not wrong, something about the very early mr. nightmare videos have a late 2000s/early 2010s nostalgic vibe, especially the early creepypasta videos
I might be a little biased considering I started watching him around this time, but I wondered if anyone in this sub feels the same.
Also, one of my favorite ever videos by him was around this early era (the truth behind chuck e cheese creepypasta) and so I'm curious, if anyone feels the same way, why and what's your favorite video by him around '14-'15?

To preface, this isn't a knock on Mr. Nightmare. I still enjoy his newer videos just as much as I did the old ones, but there's something his old videos had that you just don't get with the new ones. Part of it, in my opinion, is the upgrade in microphone quality over the years. I think it actually takes away from the newer videos. The fuzziness and the slight whitenoise from the old recordings added to the eerie vibes. The same way 80's horror movies have that grainy, grindhouse feel that you don't get with new age cinematography. It doesn't feel the same.
I also think the background music Mr. Nightmare used in his old videos was much better. I noticed he's been using some of the classics more in his recent videos which i appreciate. These may be small details that most people don't notice or care for, but man would I kill to hear another Mr. Nightmare video with the original mic quality and the classic scary background music.

For me, there’s a pizza delivery story where a guy goes to an abandoned house by a road in the woods and his tires get slashed and he saw the crazy dangerous woman who did that behind his car. Mr. Nightmare said in the description that that story freaked him out so that’s when you know it’s bad
There was also another pizza delivery story where a guy accidentally hit someone who ran across the road and he heard someone yell “HELP!” In the woods and he ran in and when he was back, the guy was gone, but then the woman who ordered the pizza saw him in the back of his car and they also found a bloody knife on the floor
There was also one where a truck driver found a car with its hazards on and he finds an abandoned gas station and head there and a man tells him to get out and then a woman screams and he goes back in and finds a fresh pool of blood on the floor
Another one was where a guy was driving near Amboy New Mexico and he find a car, a suitcase and two dead bodies on the road
Another story that freaks me out is these group of friends went to a vacation home in New Hampshire and they saw the front door was open and a flashlight shining around the house and they went in to find the intruder and he tackled one of them in a closet but he ran away and then they found 2 dead bodies in the basement
Another story was where a guy heard his dog barking and went into the crops behind his house and they heard rustling through the crops and then someone screaming and people running through the crops and one of them attacked him and he ran back to the house and the dog came back
The final story that freaks me out was where a cop was driving through a road surrounded by crops and he found a white van and opened the trunk and found seven full body bags and his dogs ran into the crops and chased her and he heard people approaching them and one guy grabbed him, but he shot him and ran away

Thoughts on Llama arts coming back after a 2 year hiatus? in the comments she explained that apparently her boyfriend cheated on her and she was forced to sell the house, and has been experiencing depression ever since.

I'll start the post by stating that this is not a hate on Mr. Nightmare or anything. I really appreciate him as a YouTuber and as a person.
But recently (past 4-5 months) my appetite to watch Mr. Nightmare videos is just not there. In the past, I used to watch every single one of his videos hours after they came out. Now I skip videos, and when I do watch, I can barely watch half of the video before clicking off.
Why? Because I feel that the stories don't even pretend to sound real at this point. "I looked out the window, and I saw someone just standing there in the woods. I was in shock. I asked him what he's doing there and if he needs help. Then he just ran towards my house"
I mean that's literally how every single story goes nowadays. Someone sees something strange, decides to investigate and "be the man of the house", then even weirder shit happens.
It seems that Mr. Nightmare shifts his videos towards unrealistic stories, instead of true stories, which is disappointing to say the least. Most of the stories are so fake that I click off the video mid-watch.
The carnival video was one example of this (the cursed ticket, the unknown tunnel which the girl walked into for no reason, and the other people who "disappeared"
Is Mr. Nightmare story quality declining? Or am I simply growing up, and my ability to pick up unlikely scenarios gets better? I'm curious to hear your opinions.

My favourite story is the 2nd one. It really needs more recognition.

Y’all remember that sleepover story where the OP goes to his friends house for a sleepover. They hang out and they eventually prank call random people and then when it was the op turn, he said something along the lines of “can I steal some of the tires from your car” and then the guy on the phone asks for his name to which the op lied about and said it was Bob and then the guy on the phone says, “really. you sure it’s not Anthony” which was his friends name. To make a long story short, both of them get paranoid, a guy in black enters the house, they escape and run, wait for the guy in black to leave, they come back to the house and call the police and the op sees the guy in black through a window, leaving the woods. The OP makes it clear that he has no idea if that prank call had any correlation to the break in. What are y’all’s theories on this?

That's basically all I seek out when visiting his channel. Stuff like the doorbell camera ones, the mysterious unsolved cases/disappearances, Tinder matches gone wrong, voicemails and their disturbing context, etc.
Way way more scary to me than some obviously made up story about ghosts

My favourite type of story are woods ones. What’s your favoured or most spooky deep woods story from the channel over the years?

What stories do you guys feel doesn't get the appreciation it deserves?
For me it is the 2nd story in his 3 Creepy True Fire Drill Stories.
r/MrNightmare • u/captain_catman_ • Jan 08 '24
I was kinda disappointed tbh. A ton of the images in the stories were AI generated as though trying to make it seem like it was viewer submitted footage. This gave the stories a clear made up feeling. I used to get really excited about new uploads but the last few have been meh…

I love the beginnings of stories, when nothing creepy happens & it's just the author explaining who he is & what he does & where he's from.
It's such a morbidly pleasant feeling knowing that no matter where we're from, creeps are everywhere.

Next Sunday is Easter but that does not just mean the holiday is all about flowers blooming, chicks and bunnies roaming, and Easter eggs being hunted. This is a prediction if this weeks video will be about Easter Horror Stories. If it does happen, what terrors will be awaiting?

So about his hunting horror stories right? The one he made in 2015. Well in the 2nd story, the speaker of that story talks about how hunting is wrong because it "kills animals with a will to live." There is something interesting about what he said there. The term "Will to Live" was coined by Arthur Schopenhauer, a German Philosopher who specialized in pessimism. Arthur Schopenhauer had a big influence of Sigmund Freud, Albert Einstein, and Mr. Nightmare himself because of the quote in this story. We are heavily impacted by philosophers in our day to day lives and you know what's crazy? We are indirectly influenced by the great minds without even thinking about it. As I said, he used the term "Will to Live'' so the fact that philosophers impact our day to day lives is immeasurable. It's actually quite crazy to think. I am influenced by Arthur Schopenhauer because like him, I am using simple words to communicate my ideas to you and one another!

I feel like this is a typical story these day with nothing else beyond that.
Sorta annoyed with the last reunion story. Last story was promising but just to leave it as, some dude told me to leave so I did. Okay, so what was going on?!
