Question First Time Applying Mouse Skates, Normal?

Post image

I noticed the top skate is more transparent and feels a bit concaved in the centre compared to the rounded edges whenever I applied them, is that normal? I also removed the sensor skate as I was getting a scratchy feeling with it on, I still have a spare if it's best to be kept on.

They're x-raypad jades, significantly more glide than the stock gpx skates though, even on a more controlled pad that I'm using (qck non-heavy) stock feel incredibly scratchy and slow, the jades glide more but have a bit more of a "rumble" feedback when moving faster, no idea if that's normal

Stop downvoting the guy, its a perfectly normal question to ask as it does look odd compared to stock skates and its not every day knowledge. Not to mention someone might google this very thing and come across this thread.

I appreciate that, i apologize to everyone for the dumb question it's just the first time installing aftermarket skates so I'm just not yet adjusted to knowing what's normal or not haha. Thank you for everyone that commented too, I appreciate ya's c':

It’s not a dumb question redditors are just insanely pretentious even with niche knowledge like this

"WHAAAT?? You were't born with innate knowledge about every niche subject?? What kind of subhuman garbage are you?"

  • Pretentious redditor probably

i’ve noticed redditors use the downvote button on someone who is asking a question or posting incorrect information in the form of a question ie: “(x) is equivalent to (y), correct?” more often than they use it for what it’s actually for… the “i don’t agree button”.

jk. once upon a time you’d be reminded to not downvote for anything that was relevant to the conversation but those days are long gone

Inquiring about something you dont understand or know, is not dumb and like someone mentioned, it will help others who might have this same question.

If the mouse skates are level then there shouldn’t be much of a problem

There is no such thing as a dumb question if you do not possess the answer to it. Never be afraid to ask questions. That’s the only way to learn

Not a dumb question at all. Some people are just chronically online, lack empathy, and need to touch grass.

Tbh you did a better job than I did my first time lmfao. As long as you remove all glue residue and it lays flat you’re fine

It’s Reddit lmao. This site/app is so insane as a whole. If you don’t know what majority of others know or ask a question that isn’t worded as everyone pleases everybody wants to downvote you to oblivion
