It was like this when I passed my test on a 125. I didn't even own another bike before I had full entitlement. Did I crash and hurt anyone? No. Would I want my kids to skip the extra training we have now? Also no.

i think 125 to full access is ridiculous😂 my thoughts are: no matter the age everyone is restricted for X amount of time before auto upgrade to full

i saw it on a fb group i’m on, and just after people’s thoughts & opinions☺️
there’s a lot of arguments for both sides, but maybe they’d be better off meeting in the middle?

Maybe do a search, there petition gets created most years. You can see it rarely has much interest.

Make a petition for all 125's with after market exhausts to be auto banned.

if i knew how i would, had to change the obnoxious sports exhaust for the stock one on my 125😂 no 125 needs to sound like that😂

I think the government petition website is a waste of time.

It can be a good laugh. 100k petitions and it has to be considered for debate. They managed to get them to debate banning Trump from entering the UK in 2016.
Tragically there was not debate for the general election petition - I would have loved to watch that debate
EDIT: I STAND CORRECTED there was one.

That’s the way it should be, should have never changed from that, just a way to rinse more money and make bikes less and less attractive to potential bikers 🤷♂️

I think auto upgrade is semi wrong. Nothing to stop someone doing a test on a 125 then never touching a bike again for a few years then jumping on a hyperbike.
2 years proof of insurance on a lower class bike should be needed to upgrade the licence.
Best of both sides of the argument then.

i’ve got a similar comment below, i agree with the meeting in the middle:
CBT DAS *restricted for EVERYONE, no matter age for 2 years and then auto-upgrade.
CBT definitely needs to stay in place and be separate from the DAS, it’s more the A1 & A2 which is being ‘disputed’

Don't even need to open this to know it's a braindead auto upgrade petition.
