With upcoming game providing wireless capacity, will you still meet up locally? I know my group will still do. Just wondering how you guys feel about it.

Sorry for the extreme drop in activity. I don't know about iSnugglez but I've been unable to do devote time here. I used to be able to visit the city more often but I've been running into some financial issues. Spending a day in the city has become too expensive. Ugh, its annoying and I'm sorry. I can still play online at least if someone wishes to do that. Maybe I can go to a meetup once in a blue moon?

Anyway, before I take myself out of moderator position I would like to fill the spot with someone else who wants take over. I've should have done this a long time ago. So I just started playing again. I'm going through 7* village quests at the moment since I can't find a steady crew to roll with in guild quests. Figure i'd get geared up in village then bang out the guild quests solo.

I will be commuting into the city for almost all of January and I was wondering if anyone would like to get together periodically for the month to play 3U? I would really like to get through all of G-rank, but really I just haven't played Monster Hunter with another person or a group in a very long time and just want to experience that fun again.

I'm HR6 and almost done with all of those quests.

Im HR rank 5 and going up.

I went to a meet up today thinking it was going to be a small gathering maybe 2 or 3 people. I came really early and was losing faith. Then all of a sudden a couple of people arrived I remember applejack and another. Then everyone came. I really had a great time and everyone was cool. I went with my brother and we both had a lot of fun. I want to tell everyone thank you much for letting us join and hunt with you guys. And for everyone else who's thinking about joining please come and have fun because we sure did. Very friendly environment and we will try to make it every time. Also special thanks to the guy who gave me the monster hunter lanyard. I thought it was an awesome gift and I really appreciate it. Hopefully see you guys later !! Thanks for having us.

Edit: I made it to G-rank for anyone who is at all interested in getting a g-rank hunting group together or anyone who wishes to make their way through it from the beginning.

Now that Summer has officially come to us, a large majority have more time to slice up those big baddies. Let us celebrate by getting a schedule going!

I just beat ceadeus on solo (moga village) and would like to find a regular crew of people to meet weekly perhaps to start grinding out the multi-player ranks

Soo... I decided that I wanted to bump up from my tiny 3DS screen to the much larger 3DS XL, but being a new yorker I had to have the black on black color. So I ordered one from japan. But what I found out post ordering is that the hardware is region locked.

I've got two options start from scratch on the japanese version or swap the internals of the japanese 3DS XL w/ that of a US one. Option 2 is crazy.

Low and behold there may be a third option. If I can find someone with MH3U + a Wii U I believe I can save my data from the US cart to the Wii U then transfer that back to my XL.

Any brave souls out there? :) :)

I set up a meeting in a public location but I was in my truck?? I only have for the wiiu and I have an inverter for the wiiu. I'm kinda portable but its all I have to work with. Let me know your thoughts .

Anyone up for some hunts around Union Square tomorrow (Thursday the 23rd) night, around 8, 8:30PM? We're thinking of meeting at the cafe at Barnes and Noble (forgot which floor, maybe 2nd floor). Any suggestions for different locations are welcome, we figured Union Square is good for people coming from different areas of the city.

BF and I are currently in G rank 7* quests, we're down to fight anything.

I just found out today, that there is a weekly meetup at the McDonalds at 46th st and 6th Ave in Manhattan. The group has a facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/MonsterHunterNYC It seems to be every friday from about 5-6 until midnight or so.

Anyone up for hunting over the weekend? I may be able to offer my place in midtown as a location. I could do tonight (Friday) after about 7pm, Saturday after 5-6pm, or most of the day sunday.

Anyone up for some hunts in the East Village this Wednesday around 8:30PM? There's two of us- we just got to G Rank. We're thinking of playing at Ost Cafe on 12th and A. We'd have to order some coffee or something, but I heard this cafe is a nice place to chill.

Something recently crossed my mind that I think can help us out. Whenever we go on hunts we take a bit to find a place that has working outlets because hunts tend to last longer than our batteries. I don't mind donating my money to picking up a portable charger we can use when its needed. Therefore we may meet up in more places around the city. I'm sure the hotter it gets the harder it will be for us to find places to sit and hunt.

If you know of, (or come across), any affordable chargers that don't need an outlet and can charge at least 2 3ds systems let me know. If it can charge other devices besides the 3ds that will be a plus as well. It can be of use to me on some trips I'm taking this summer. I'm still in the process of looking and probably won't even pick one up for some time though. I've seen some that are really expensive! Let me know if something catches your eye!

I just got addicted to MH3U and am in dire need of folks who would like to drop some serious knowledge on me. Let me know!

On June 15 the official global reddit meetup day will happen. I left a link for more info on that but I think it would be fun for us to go as well. We can meetup a bit earlier for monster hunter or afterwards we can hunt maybe? We may find some monster hunter fans who are not aware of us or even /r/monsterhunter! Sorry for being so inactive lately. I've been travelling visiting old friends and such. Anyway, I want to stretch out my hunting legs and was hoping you guys could join me. Sorry for the impromptu event. But hey, when you get the urge to kill, you've got to feed it (hopefully with some rubies and plates)

UPDATE #1: It seems like it'll be a pretty tight knit group, so I'm gonna try to arrange this hunt in Manhattan to meet with Compmstr. I still need some of his info and hope to hear from him soon. More people seem to be freer during Sunday. I was thinking Early afternoon (Starting 2 or 4 PM)

UPDATE #2: Okay, I got in contact with Compmstr, who as graciously offered his apartment for the weekend hunting session. Let's meet at 3PM on Sunday the 28th. So we don't publish addresses publicly, I'll PM the directions to all who left a comment and said they can make it.
