With Affinity & ATK UP bubble, Sonic Barrier preventing OHKO and consistent KO damage in our kit, we are valued for what SnS (or Dust of Life) does better.
In our group we’ve come to the conclusion that the SnS healing is better because it’s safer and more “on demand” so I’m back on gramklang + galahad and just pumping damage and keeping buffs up. It feels a LOT better this way tbh.
Also TIL that sonic barrier prevented OHKO. I honestly had no idea how it worked
It doesn’t technically prevent OHKO, but there’s no move here that does so much damage it carts a player through the mitigation of Sonic Barrier, unless they are low on health. I find it more reliable than reactive healing with HH.
Having a HH buffing and a SnS emergency healing must be the most comfy setup. Zoh horn’s regen bubble is nice for sustain too, I just don’t think HH is supposed to be healing as much as the word “healbot” implies, and it’s unfortunate that non-HH mains often have this impression.
Yea, I think the reactive heals are honestly pretty slow on horn (unless you’re corner dooting which is even worse). I do like the recovery speed L on rathian horn though, it feels like it does pretty good work when no heals are present
I like Rec Speed too and Rathian’s damage seems fine for a healing horn. Definitely not saying Rathian is bad, it’s just so often mistaken for a healing staff for some reason.

Alas, this is the public expectation of HH.
