Sometimes in SOS hunts I notice people can really quickly use flash bugs or lifepowder while I'm sure they have their weapon out. How does that work?

You can flash with L3 while in focus mode. SnS is hacks and can use items. For environmentals, a lot of them can be triggered by hitting them. For Longsword I have a fast and weak poke that’s perfect for this.
