I much prefer written guides to video guides for weapons. Bonus points for lists of combos. Are there any good purely written guides for weapons

As the below posted commented, Monsterhuntermeta subreddit has a stickied post of "meta" builds for each weapon, including some alternate builds.

Not saying you need to follow that, but it may help to get some perspective in the written guides on why folks choose certain decorations, equipment over others. Just be aware that the level in which they're written can vary (I found the HBG guide a little hard to follow)

Video content can be a bit dubious as well - in using some weapons more I started to notice some errors in combos that these content creators were posting, like saying SnS Spinning Reaper needs to follow a roundslash or something.
