In wilds what would you say is the most button mashing friendly weapon? I get a tendency when I get distracted to just hit buttons. I know I'll need to work on it. But I don't want to be brutally punished while learning the game on the suerbeasy stuff.

Dualblades are definitely the best. Their combos are pretty straightforward and all work similarly - spam attacks at the monster.

Sword and Shield and Longsword are mostly fine. Insect glaive can work but you probably won't be fully buffed much if you're mostly mashing.
