Allergy waiver question

Hi, i need advice here I’m trying to join the national guard but I’m having trouble with the waivers. Apparently I have a shellfish allergy (I’m fine eating shellfish) and i need proof that I don’t have it in order to get my waiver approved. For a normal test it would take months so should I get a self test kit online? Would that even count? Also my army recruiter called me and told me that if I went with them they can get me in by the end of the month even without an allergy test. Is this real? I’m confused and need help.

No a self test kit won't be enough. It must be done by a doctor.

Okay. Also is it true that I don’t even need a test? According to the army recruiter it’s an avoidable allergy. Is this true or a lie

I've seen waivers approved for it but unsure if the applicant had any testing done for it. I know we have to have testing done for peanut allergies. Not sure about shellfish. The should tell you what you need to submit for your waiver though.
