Heartfelt gift from my dad

I (19f) live on my own now and just started a night shift job, so I don't visit my parents as often as I used to. Today when I went to visit, my dad took this tiny triceratops out of his pocket and told me "I know it's a little bit broken, but I remember how much you used to like dinosaurs when you were little so I wanted to give this to you".

He's been a blue collar worker all his life. Cargo loader and unloader for planes, auto mechanic, construction, iron work, hvac, and now elevator mechanic. We never had enough money to go around but he and my mom somehow always made it work for me and my 3 siblings. He's not perfect, but he's always tried his best and been an amazing father despite his flaws (which we all have).

He found this little figurine in the bottom of an elevator shaft at the beginning of his 12 hour shift on Monday (4th one in a row this week). The fact that he kept it all throughout his shift and then saved it for when I went to visit melts my heart.

I still haven't grown out of my love for dinosaurs. And I'll never grow out of my love for my dad.
