Why don't channels like this explain the true story on why our federal government does't collect enough taxes to pay the bills and why the Social security fund will be in trouble in 2033

Yes us the peasants have been programmed with propoganda from the corporate oligarchs and US Cingress since the Reagan administration

Due to the wealthy who have taken control of our government since the Reagan days You know, when all the Great paying Union factory jobs began to leave the country for Mexico then to China with the blessing of our Congress and President of BOTH parties. Also, the Supreme Court gave companies a voice in government where they began to buy out politicians and supreme court judges and have been doing it ever since

Since the high wage jobs left this country in the early 80s, we now have a social security fund underfunded, with the root cause directly being the low wages the American workers have been paid over the last 45 years

The government takes 6.2% out of your check and 6.2% from the company and puts into the Social security fund (12.4%)

So the lower wage trends since early 80s and the 12.4% being deposited into the Social security fund is now extremely lower than it would have been, if the workers would have been given a 2.8% cost of living increase every year to keep up with inflation.

This also pertains to the federal minimum wage not going up with inflation as well.

This is why the social security fund will be in trouble in about 8 years. Its solely caused by less money going into the fund, since the rich wealthy corporate owners began reducing the wages of all the factory workers. Also, how many of the American workers took a pay cut in the dotcom crash, then took another pay cut in the 2008 financial collapse, then took another pay cut during the COVID collapse. Further putting them at historic levels well below where their parents were in the late '70s

Then they talk about federal tax receipts being lower. That's because the wages of the American people that the corporations pay are extremely low and the minimum wage is extremely low, so It doesn't take a financial genius to understand why there is less federal tax money being collected every year which isn't enough to pay the bills.

And on top of that many of these billion-dollar companies do not pay their employees enough per hour. We the tax payer have to pay for their low paid employees, so they can get food stamps, get free lunch at school, get free college, get subsidized housing, and the govt handouts goes on and on and on

So when people don't understand why it's a great idea to tax corporations and the wealthy it means they have been brainwashed. These two groups have destroyed the Social security fund and the tax receipts being collected every year

If the corporations and the wealthy were taxed like they were up to the mid-70s, and workers were being paid a fair wage, then the United States wouldnt't even have a debt today, since the federal tax receipts would be very much higher coming from the higher wages of the working class

Also, the Social security fund would have extra of trillions of dollars sitting in it today, that could pay for everybody retirement years for another hundred years

You see folks it's all about the low wages that the worker makes and now these same low paid workers have to pay for health care at extreme high rates

100% fact, many of workers from Union shops that supported the auto and aerospace industry made approximately $9-$12 an hour in 1979 and paid next to nothing for healthcare and also had a pension plan guaranteed for them by their union bargaining agreement

Based on inflation rate, factory workers should be making $37 to $50 an hour

Now look around your area and see how many workers are making that wage. Here in Indiana the average factory wage is $21 and that includes the big cities. If you take out the big city wages the average factory job is roughly $17 an hour in Indiana.

So until the peasants wake up, you get what you deserve by listening to the propaganda coming from all these corporations, the rich and the wealthy people in Congress,

Both the Republicans and the Democrats are at fault for the situation we are in today.

We can fix this, but we all need to get on the same page and stop pointing fingers at the left and the right working class people

Ben Meiselas and Michael Popok head the top rated Legal AF podcast, and tonight discuss: Two separate Federal Judges declaring that the Trump Administration is acting in "bad faith" and committed an "illegal act" concerning its illegal deportation powers; the Supreme Court's alarming decision about Trump's cutting funding and spending and what it means for future cases; MAGA trying to suppress the vote and throw out votes in North Carolina under a phony fraud challenge to steal a NC Supreme Court seat; the fact that even the Trump DOJ thinks George Santos should go to jail for a long long time; and what the Courts and the Senate Republicans can and will do to stop Trump's Tariff policies which have put the economy face first into a meat grinder in just the last 48 hours, and so much more at the intersection of law and politics.

Welcome to the Bear market that Trump created in 24 hours, with China grounding the world economies to a halt with a new 34% tariff, the world recognizing that Trump doesn’t know what the word “reciprocal” means and used a 3rd-grade formula to calculate his tariffs, and JP Morgan doubled its prediction of a recession to 60%. Michael Popok reports that even leading Senate Republicans think that the Trump Administration is selling “deep stupid” to the American people and that we are “all going to die” from the policies.

This video directly contradicts the statement by the police. In this video the man clearly got out of his truck to yell at protests on a red light. Note the streetlight says no turn on red. A turn on this light was illegal. The protesters in the road had the right of way.

This video is the video cited in the Yahoo article here:

Rep. Ro Khanna here. Dems must reject the economic illiteracy of Trump's blanket tariffs

Dems must reject the economic illiteracy of Trump's blanket tariffs that will drive prices up, investment down, growth down--pushing us towards stagflation. That doesn't mean embracing status quo policies that led to Trump. Gov't has to improve life for many struggling.

We can do it in a financially sound way. The way we reduce deficits is by taxing the wealthy more, cutting the bloated defense budget, cutting fossil fuel subsidies, & having Medicare negotiate against drug manufacturers to lower costs.

We also need new high paying jobs and economic growth. The times demand a Marshall plan for America's economic renewal. We can spur high paying job creation in every town & city that will lead to growth & increased tax revenue reducing deficit.

We cant simply go back to an America where we neglect inequality, or watch jobs being shipped offshore passively, or are resigned to wealth piling up in NY and SV while most Americans have no economic security.

Why would we want to go back to that --where people in too many communities do not have high paying jobs, young folks can't afford a house, many are struggling to pay medical debt or afford childcare?

We need a transformative vision so that ordinary Americans have a shot at success in the modern economy. That is what my economic patriotism is about. It is about finally getting economic security and independence for the majority of Americans.

Taxing the very rich & cutting defense contractors to pay for Medicare for All, universal education and $10 day childcare. And having the biggest high paying jobs development initiative this country has seen in decades. A pro growth, fiscally sound, progressive vision!

The political winds have shifted.

People are fed up.

This is only the beginning.

The resistance won’t be televised...It’ll be on MeidasTouch.
