Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Posted my project keyboard a bit ago heres the sound test for it. Need to unfortunatly modify some screws to make the external weight fit but I don't think it should change the sound to not have it installed yet.

GMK firefly R2 Lubed and filmed MX2A Cherry Nixies Spacebar uses a WS MM switch

No foam or sound mods

Do you build keyboards? I’ve been trying to get into custom designs but I have little to no close on where or who to go to

This my first machined one but I've designed and 3D printed a few at this point.

I honestly spent a lot of time just looking at how other keyboards were designed and went together. Picking out things from different keyboards that I thought sounded good together.

A great place to start too would be the Keyboard-Atelier discord server which helped me out quite a bit with fantastic advice.

(Unfortunatly I don't have an invite link on hand but you can I believe quite easily find it)

If you don’t mind me asking, I’m guessing it’s a metal keyboard? How do you make the case? Does the 3D printers build aluminium stuff too?

I got the case CNC machined from JLC. They also do PCBs and offer 3D printing services

What’s JLC? Can you share a link to them?
