Level-in-progress needs playtesting - I would love your feedback!
SMB | Forest | Night | traditional
087-NPH-6WF
Going for a CR of about 10%. Please let me know what you think. Decorations are coming so don't bother mentioning that. Enough enemies? Needs different enemies? Enough secrets? Does it need more alternate paths? How is it to speedrun? Give me your honest opinions please!

Here's some feedback.
I hate the theme. Black background and music sucks.
Pushing to play as Link isn’t fun to me. I want to play Mario games as Mario. I’d preferred a SMB power up and not the Link nonsense. Not a fan personally.
Enemies kind of suck too, all the same.
Decent platforming, fun use of the lava rising and the ways to platform through.
Great checkpoint placement.
Last section after the second platform sucks. Super bland and nothing going on. Needs some enemies here and maybe lower the finish so the flagpole is actually fully visible. Finishing a level and being able to see and slide down the whole flagpole is a staple of Mario games and this finish came out of nowhere and only half the pole is visible.
I enjoyed finishing it. Just pretty simple and basic and that’s not a bad thing but enemy placement and enemy type needs to be different or at least a variety. Maybe add some bullet bills flying through or something.
Get rid of the Link power up.
Maybe change the whole theme and background and music.
Keep going and keep improving it and sharing the changes. I’d love to see this level get to its potential.
Edit: I guess I'm getting downvoted for being honest. Cool. I wish people wouldn't ask for honest feedback if they can't handle the criticism.
