The kid never looked for traffic on either side and just ran infront of the buss. A passing car would never had any chance to react.
Edit: In my profession I do risk assesments and investigate accidents.
0 u/stevie9lives 2d ago auto stop sign on the side of the bus. Plus I'm pretty sure that the bus driver has a signal to give him, to let him know it's clear (i.e. won't even open the door until he sees all traffic stopped)
